Grizzly Peak

June 2nd 2016

I finally got up Grizzly Peak B which lies at the headwaters of Cascade Creek. The fat bike was the game changer allowing me to get in and out of the nine miles of Cascade Divide road, which would be quite laborious on foot. A fun coulior to kick up!
My super dorky biker-climber-runner get up.

The first view on the way in. To my eyes a very aesthetic peak.

Getting closer... I ascended the central couloir and descended the broad one on the left.

Almost to the fun part.

A little slushy ice where it narrows.

Fun, firm snow

From the summit

I also got to see a bear and two coyotes, but the porcupine was the only one to pose for a picture.

A great example of the prime fat bike terrain.

Until we meet again
